GDIN Charter
A draft text of Ankara Declaration that includes the principle guideline for operation of GDIN has been created. One of the major tasks of the Ankara Conference will be the adoption of this charter.

Program, Participant
The Draft Agenda refers to Technical Program of the Conference and expected to be fixed soon. The text may contain some mistype to correct upon request and it is going to be updated by considering changes and developments. The GDIN Conference attracted interest of relevant persons and most of them expected to attend as participant. The current list may contain some mistakes and omits, please inform us if you meet any of it.

Venue, Services, Weather
Conference will be held at the Cultural and Convention Center of Middle East Technical University (ODTU), in Ankara. A data show device plus the usual projection equipment is available in all Halls. A video display is also possible, electrical voltage is 220 V and 50 Hz in Turkey. The Conference Halls (A, B , C, D) will be used for plenary or workshop sessions in the same atmosphere , the capacities are 200, 200, 55, 110 seats subsequently. The other meeting Halls (E, F, G, H) are in the upstairs that will be available for use of GDIN staffs and other GDIN occasions like teleconference the capacities are 20 seats. There is also a big Concert Hall has 800 seats and a restaurant for lunch in the same complex, inside the Campus area of METU. Conference language is English and no simultaneous translations into other languages. Late April in Ankara is normally pleasantly warms (20 degree C) and sunny, occasional afternoon shower may occur. Official travel agency will be happy to provide information on special pre or post conference tours. Please contact them directly.

Registration, Accommodation, Transportation, Exhibition, Conference Tours
A range of hotels has been contacted for accommodation, Please download the Application Form, fill the form and send it by fax or e-mail to the Travel Agency directly Agency before April 2000 to ensure a reservation. Registration fee of US$125 will cover Conference documents, lunches, social events, the formal dinner and transportation. Spouse registration is $50, this will cover the two social events that will take place on the evenings of 25 and 27 April. Something less than casual for the evening events would be desirable. The conference site is about 10 km from the three hotels, there will be shuttle service via bus between these hotels and the Conference site at University Campus. Taxis cost about $6 for that distance. Exhibition boots will be provided upon to request. The official travel agency will be happy to provide information on special pre or post conference tours.
